LEC2518: Advanced Communication Skills in Sinhala (Writing) course is a level 02 Credit 05 course focuses on enhancing students’ written communication abilities in Sinhala. The course aims to develop proficiency in composing passages, essays, letters, stories, and translation. It is structured around 12 interactive learning sessions, one take-home assignment, and a continuous assessment test.

Advanced Reading & Comprehension Skills in Sinhala 5 credit course
This course is designed to enhance students’ reading proficiency in Sinhala through exposure to a variety of texts, including simple passages, essays, letters, and short stories. Over 60 hours of instruction ( complemented by a 12‑day Interactive Learning Session), participants will develop skills in text comprehension, translation, and basic Sinhala grammar. Assessment is continuous and includes both written and oral components. By the end of the course, students will be able to read and interpret different genres with greater fluency and accuracy, apply translation strategies, and use grammatical knowledge to support overall understanding.

LEC2516 – Advanced Communication Skills in Sinhala (Listening and Speech) is a five credt course. This course inclues 12 interactive learning sessions (Including practical Listening and Speech). Primary objectives of this course are to develop advanced proficiency in Formal speech, Grammar of spoken Sinhala and Interpreting skills of Sinhala and other languages.
