This course creates awareness on quantitative and qualitative research methodologies in social sciences. This is a four credit course and offered in MA 2nd year.

This is a 3-credit course offered in the first year of the MA programme to create awareness of fundamental ideas pertaining to Sociology of Development as well as Anthropology of Development.The course is therefore designed to provide a sound understanding of the key concepts, ideas and theoretical models relevant to examining the complex and often contested ideas of social change and development from both sociological and anthropological perspectives. The sessions in this course thus provide the foundation for a critical reading of development discourse and practice which will be offered in the second year of the MA programme.

This course will enlighten students on the economics perspectives of National Development. It will also help students to develop critical perspectives on economic policies.

This is a 2 credit course offered in the second year of the MA programme to create awareness on contemporary issues connected with development strategies and policies.
