LLPA411 - International Humanitarian Law

This level 10, four-credit course is offered by the Department of Language Studies of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, for the Master of Laws (LLM) in Criminal Justice Administration Degree programme. This is a compulsory course in the second year. The objectives of this course are to discuss the fundamental concepts of international humanitarian law and to apply humanitarian law principles in times of armed conflict. In addition to that, it aims to examine the relationship between humanitarian law and other branches of international law and identify the current state of the subject and its place in the modern international legal system.
